Wow oh Wow oh Wow.. where to begin!!
We have had the most amazing amazing amazing days here!! ( I truly dont beleive I have the vocabulary necessary to explain all that has happened here). We are in love with our little man and today he is learning how to love back. He gave his first hug to Tom today after seeing Tom hug me (he was so not sure why we hugged) we told him we hug because we love each other.. he JUMPED up into Toms arms with his arms out saying I LOVE YOU DAD!! then to me.. I lOVE YOU MOM!!! He is wanting to hold hands now and sign I love you a ton ( just since yesterday). Tom and I have laughed so hard the last few days we never ever imagined this trip would be like this. We thought it was going to be 2 long hard weeks of being with a stranger who doesnt really want us here. This trip for us couldnt be much further away from that. God has truly made a match made in Heaven. We are so in love and he cannot wait to get home and actually see his family back in America (other then on skype). Although he is quite addicted to skype!
We spent the last few days touring around Guangzhou. We hit a dried food market, a scarry scarry meat market, a pet market (Luke didnt know what any of the pets where called, not even in Chinese) You better beleive he knows the signs for them all now. We spent yesterday at a park with our beloved pals from Madison. Another match that our Lord so made in Heaven. We have laughed and laughed and laughed some more with our Madison travel mates ( I am pretty sure our faces will be on posters here when we leave heheh). We have made friendships that without a doubt will last a lifetime. Luke is soo attached to the other 2 men in our travel group that he gets upset when he thinks of them leaving. He is such a guy... but a guy with a heart of gold. We are so anxious for our friends and family to see this blessing of a boy!!!
Today we had to stay in our room for an hour while our guide did our interviews at the Consulate and she called and said all was great and we are ready for our Consulate appointment today. We leave at 2 to head to the Consulate and take our Oath promising to always take care of our boy and to love him forever.. That is going to be the easiest thing I have ever done as we love him to pieces already. We truly didnt expect to feel for him how we feel now and it is mind blowing how well he is doing. He is pure joy from the moment he wakes until he goes to sleep. For a boy that knew nothing a week ago to a boy that can have great conversations with us just one week later. His signing is still increasing at a rate that is astounding for me ( and I work with Deaf children on a daily basis) and we are watching his language blossom right before our eyes!!!
I have to get off to head to the consulate now and will try and post more later as soooo much has happend in the last few days (allll great stuff)
here are a few picks from our last few days will post more later...

- My name is Tracy and I am married to an amazing man, his name is Thomas! We are a busy family that is always on the go between church, school, work and sports.... we are not a sitting around kind of family. We have 4 amazing children and are working on bringing home Elias to make 5. My hubby is Deaf and I am a sign language interpreter,we are very involved in the Deaf community and are excited to be adding another Deaf member to our family. Our kids, Aaron-19, Luke-11, Tommy-10 and Paige-5 are anxious for their new brother to be home. This is our second adoption and we are learning more everyday to lean on God, this journey is already strengthening our faith! We are working on learning how to turn everything over to God and know that He has a perfect plan and all will happen in His time! Good things come to those who wait.

Ain't that all about everything!
What a wonderful journey you have had - I see from the pics that ya'll have found Lucy's - and maybe the guys have found the TsingDao? ;) Did you find yourslef a nice Rolex? Mine was about $27.00 USD! :)
But mostly it's clear that ya'll have found what adoption is all about - forever familiy - and joining that wide and deep 'extended family' - all of us that have found family through our kids - those born in our heart!
Great joy for ya'll - and hugs - aus and co.
Hi Tracy, Congratulations! I am happy everything is going so well for you! We are a Madison family and brought our son with dwarfism home in November, and we live in NJ too. I lost track of everybody once we got home. so great to see photos of you and your son, and also photos of Connie, who was our guide too! Enjoy the rest of your trip, and tell Connie that Cara, Gibson and Jiakan say hello!
The hugging story is SO SWEET! And his language sounds amazing. I have a linguistics background, and acquiring a first language at his age is just not supposed to happen the way he's doing it--but don't tell him that, he won't believe it! :-) Awesome!!
Strange is good :-)

Hi Tracy and Tom,
We are on the Jinan Yahoo group as well...we came home with our daughter four years ago! What an amazing journey you are on in these early days with Luke. It's incredible that you can communicate with him so well right off the bat. What a very special gift from the Lord! He seems so absolutely happy to be with you! Enjoy the rest of your trip and have a safe trip home. I thought I read somewhere that you are in NJ...so are we!
Blessings,
Lisa
Uuuuhhhhmmmm....dare I say I see another adoption in the future?!?! ;)
